Azerbaijan, Turkey Agricultural Committee advances collaboration in Ankara

The 11th session of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Agricultural Executive Committee convened in Ankara, marking a significant step in bilateral collaboration.

During the discussions, both sides identified promising avenues for partnership within the agricultural sector, SIA reports citing AZERTAC.

Following the ministerial meeting between Azerbaijan and Turkey, an extensive session took place.

The Ministries of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and the Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey signed a Declaration of Intent focusing on agricultural research and development cooperation, along with the protocol of the 11th Executive Committee meeting.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, underscored the importance of these agreements, expressing confidence that they would fortify agricultural cooperation and enhance trade ties between the two nations.

In response, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumaklı, stressed the significance of implementing the Action Plan's provisions, emphasizing ongoing dialogue with Azerbaijan. He further emphasized the importance of cooperation aimed at bolstering agricultural productivity.
