Fitch Solutions reveals its forecast for current account surplus in Azerbaijan

The current account surplus in Azerbaijan in 2023 was set at 26.7% of the gross domestic product (GDP), according to the report by Fitch Solutions (FS), a company by Fitch Group.

FS forecasted the share of current account surplus in GDP at 23,8% for 2024 and at 20,9% for 2025.

Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov noted that the current account surplus for 2023 is around USD 9-10 billion.
