Media: Iran’s possible response to US strikes in Yemen to affect 20% of fuel supplies

About 20% of global fuel supplies will be at risk in the event of possible Iranian measures against the backdrop of the US and UK operations in Yemen, according to Bloomberg experts, SİA informs referring to TASS.

Iran’s potential measures to limit cargo transportation through the Strait of Hormuz may have a special impact on fuel markets. In this case, up to 20% of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas supplies could be affected. It is emphasized that the consequences of closing the Strait of Hormuz will be twice as large as the effect on fuel markets from the conflict in Ukraine.

As noted, fuel markets, with the exception of oil, have not yet responded to the US and British attacks on the positions of the Yemeni Houthis.
