Azerbaijan`s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has met with a delegation led by Chief Executive Officer of TotalEnergies Patrick Pouyanné, who arrived in Baku to participate in the first gas production ceremony from the Absheron gas and condensate field.
During the meeting, Parviz Shahbazov hailed the commissioning of the Absheron field with high production indicators and cooperation with TotalEnergies. He stressed the importance of Absheron field in fulfilling its obligations as an energy supplier of Azerbaijan, especially the role of natural gas in ensuring energy security.
The sides also discussed TotalEnergies` activities in Azerbaijan`s hydrocarbon sector and the implementation of wind-solar energy and energy storage systems projects with a total capacity of 500 MW.
