As part of his visit to Pakistan, Director of Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan (AREA) Javid Abdullayev has met with Chief Executive Officer of the Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB) of the Energy Ministry of Pakistan, Executive Director of the AEDB Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB) Shah Jahan Mirza.
Abdullayev highlighted Azerbaijan's renewable energy potential, measures implemented to tap this potential as well as the country’s export opportunities.
During the meeting, Pakistani companies were invited to participate in future renewable energy auctions. Shah Jahan Mirza informed about reforms in Pakistan's the energy sector as well as development of renewable energy sector.
AREA Director Javid Abdullayev will also attend the Pakistan Minerals Summit 2023 under the theme “Dust to Development: Investment Opportunities in Pakistan” which will be held tomorrow.
