In January-June of 2023, Georgia's import of oil and oil products from Azerbaijan was 24 498,97 tons amounting to USD 19,71 million, APA reports citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
It was noted that the value of the product imported from Azerbaijan decreased by USD 28.7 million dollars or 2.5 times in annual terms, and the volume decreased by 32 355.33 tons or 2.3 times.
In the first half of 2022, Georgia imported 56,854.3 tons of oil and oil products worth $48.5 million from Azerbaijan.
Note that Georgia stopped importing diesel from Azerbaijan at the beginning of the current year due to the introduction of the Euro-5 fuel standard.
