Construction of Rasht-Astara railway line is planned ti be completed by 2028, said Russian Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev, SİA reports citing TASS.“Within the framework of the development of the western route of the International North–South Transport Corridor, an intergovernmental agreement was signed in May 2023, which is the result of nearly 20 years of discussions on the construction of the missing section of the Rasht-Astara railway line in Iran. We expect the construciton to be completed by 2028," Vitaly Savelyev said.
