After recent rising temperatures in Iran, thermometers in 6 cities in the country showed above 50 degrees.
Citing foreign sources, SIA reports that, according to Iran’s semi-official Tesnim News Agency, Sadik Ziyaiyan, Head of the Meteorology Institute’s Weather Forecast Center, made a statement regarding the high air temperatures in the country.
Ziyaiyan noted that according to the data of the Meteorology Institute, the average air temperature in the country in the last week has been 30.3 degrees, which means that there has been a half-degree increase compared to the long-term period (30 years).
Ziyaiyan noted that the temperature has already exceeded 50 degrees in 6 cities.
An Iranian official said that thermometers showed 51.6 degrees in Dehloran city of Ilam province, 51.2 degrees in Umidiya city of Khuzestan province, 50.8 degrees in Ahwaz, 50.3 degrees in Aghjari city, 50.2 degrees in Ramhormuz city and 50.0 degrees in Shush city.
