First meeting of Saudi Arabia-Azerbaijan Joint Business Council held in Riyadh
The first meeting of the Saudi Arabia-Azerbaijan Joint Business Council was held Wednesday in Riyadh city, SIA refers to AZERTAC.
Officials and businessmen from both countries participated in the meeting organized by the Federation of Chambers of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Investment and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBIA).
According to the information provided by KOBIA, the Deputy Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Muhammad Al Hassnah, co-chairmen of the Saudi Arabia-Azerbaijan Joint Business Council - Ahmad Ali Al Dakhil and Chairman of the Board of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov, Azerbaijan Vugar Zeynalov, Vice-President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, Zohrab Gadirov, Deputy Executive Director of Azerbaijan's Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO, and Turki Alhokair, Vice-Chairman of the Business Council, respectively, discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the business circles of the two countries in the field of trade and investment, the purpose of establishing the council, the visit of the delegation of businessmen of KOBIA and Azerbaijan to Saudi Arabia.
Within the framework of the event, presentations were made by KOBIA and AZPROMO about business and investment opportunities of our country, export potential, support and services provided to local and foreign businessmen, as well as prospects of cooperation in the field of business and trade by Azerbaijani businessmen.
The Ministry of Investment and Export Development Department of Saudi Arabia held presentations on the investment potential of Azerbaijan, the opportunities created for businessmen, and the products and services produced.
In the "B2B" meetings organized after the event, issues such as exchange of information and experience, opportunities for cooperation, organization of joint events and meetings, and mutual business missions were discussed between the SMEs of both countries.
The Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council was established in December 2022 based on the Agreement signed between KOBIA and the Federation of Chambers of Saudi Arabia.
The Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council, represented by business representatives from both countries, will support entrepreneurs' initiatives, help establish direct relations between them, organize mutual visits, meetings and various events, and exchange information between businessmen.
