Armenia seeks revision of Rosselkhoznadzor’s decision on dairy products

The Armenian side is doing everything possible to resume the export of dairy products to Russia as soon as possible. Anush Harutyunyan, representative of the Food Safety Inspectorate, said this in an interview with the Sputnik Armenia news agency, published today, SİA reports.

April 5, commenting on the ban on the export of dairy products from the Transcaucasian republic to the Russian market, which comes into force from this Wednesday.

“Negotiations with the Russian side are ongoing and are aimed at ensuring that the issue is resolved as soon as possible,” — informed the interlocutor of the publication.

When asked if Armenian producers would be able to continue using ingredients from Iran, which, as previously indicated by the Rosselkhoznadzor, became the reason for the restrictive measure taken by the Russian department, Harutyunyan replied that this issue would be clarified.

Questions arose only with a number of Iranian suppliers, and not with all, she explained.
