TOn December 27, a meeting was held between the delegations of "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC (ADY) and "Kazakhstan Demir Yolu" JSC in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
SIA reports that the prospects of development of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of transport and logistics, especially the joint action plan on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, were discussed at the meeting.
In particular, a wide range of views were exchanged on the conditions for the transportation of goods sent from China and Kazakhstan through Azerbaijan, the competitiveness of the relevant route and the involvement of additional cargo volumes. Detailed information was provided by the Chairman about the comprehensive measures taken to increase the attractiveness of the routes passing through Azerbaijan.
