This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) issued a silver jubilee coin with a nominal value of 5 manats to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Olympic Committee, which has an exceptional role in the development of sports and the formation of modern youth in our country.
According to local media, the CBA was informed that the jubilee coin was prepared based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 28, 2022 "On the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan", SIA reports. The issue limit of 200 was determined based on the order of the National Olympic Committee.
The sale of the coins to the National Olympic Committee has been ensured. The weight of the jubilee coin is 1 troy ounce, 31.1 grams, and its diameter is 38.61 millimeters. The banknote was produced by the German "Bavarian Mint" company on the basis of "Pruf" technology according to international standards. As the main design elements of the jubilee banknote, the inscriptions "National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan", "30", "1992-2022", the image of the Olympic torch and other sports symbols on the front side, and the words "Republic of Azerbaijan", the image of the State Coat of Arms on the back side and the number of the denomination is reflected.
Jubilee banknote is an official means of payment in the country with its nominal value.
