EU believes damage to Ukraine's energy system is approaching critical
The EU believes the damage to Ukraine's energy infrastructure is approaching a critical point and is working non-stop to support the country's energy supply, European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic wrote on his Twitter page on Wednesday.
"The destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure is reaching a critical point. The EU is working uninterruptedly to help sustain its electricity supply," he wrote.
"As we speak, more assistance is being delivered via the EU Civil Protection mechanism from Germany, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Slovakia," he pointed out.
