Some 40 US environmental and civil rights groups called on US Attorney General to investigate into the activities of US oil and gas giant Exxon Mobil because its alleged misleading of public about the threats of climate change, local media reported.
Earlier in the fall, such news organization as Inside Climate News and the Los Angeles Times newspaper published articles showing that Exxon Mobil could knew about the global warming threats, but the officials of the corporation took actions to conceal this information consciously downplaying the role of the climate change.
