Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin as part of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
SIA reports that during the meeting the ministers exchanged views on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and the situation in Ukraine. Azerbaijani Minister informed Ukranian Foreign Ministrer about the negotiation process on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, noted that the conflict should be resolved on the basis of respect for the norms and principles of international law, as well as the internationally recognized borders, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
As well, Elmar Mammadyarov invited Pavlo Klimkinto visit Azerbaijan, and the Ukrainian minister welcomed the invitation.
