Kiev to introduce sanctions against Russian officials

The Ukrainian government intends to introduce sanctions against Russian officials and companies for their support of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic, Ukraine’s parliament-appointed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said at a parliament session of the Verkhovna Rada.

"The government set up a committee on sanctions against Russia. We will sanction every individual that has a Russian passport and supports terrorists and separatists," Yatsenyuk. "We are talking about a list of personal sanctions against individuals, officials, as well as sectoral sanctions against certain companies and organizations," he added.

Yatsenyuk tasked the committee to present a list of recommended individual and sectoral sanctions against individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation over the next 10 days.
