Vietnamese officials say a military helicopter on a routine parachute training mission has crashed just outside the capital, Hanoi, killing at least 16 people.
Another five people on board were injured in the crash early Monday morning. All the victims are reported to be military personnel.
Officials say the Russian-made MI-171 helicopter went down about 15 minutes after takeoff and burst into flames just west of Hanoi.
