I think that the events going on in Ukraine have a zero effect on Azerbaijan, the deputy head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, head of the foreign relations department Novruz Mammadov told SIA.
According to the PA official, today Azerbaijan has a strong socio-political stability, the basis of which was lead by late President Heydar Aliyev and which became possible as a result of the successful policy of current President Ilham Aliyev.
"Today, the biggest wealth of the Azerbaijani people is the provision of the socio-political stability. It must be known, perceived and understood.
Just take a look at what is happening around the world. Today there are tens of countries, events in which have become a disaster for themselves, their people and governments. It will require at least decades to move out of this situation.
But the Azerbaijani state today is in such development stage that the occurrence of any undesirable event in it is literally impossible. The biggest success of the Heydar Aliyev policy is that today we are all living in such a comfortable situation.
I would also like to note that some time there were attempts in Azerbaijan as well to repeat the Orange Revolution in Ukraine.
As it was then, this time also they will not produce any positive result. There were even persons to shift the 'Arab spring' to Azerbaijan.
As you can see, these attempts failed as well. This is because Azerbaijan has a strong environment of a socio-political stability. I do not say that Azerbaijan is free of problems.
But the point is that the political determination to remove these shortcomings and problems is obvious, and successful steps are made every year to this end," he stressed.
In the end, Mammadov said that the events unfolding in Ukraine is the internal affair of that country and people, adding that the Ukrainian people will make a wise decision and find a way out of the situation.
