A young Emirati policeman is facing charges of having sex with an Uzbek woman who was staying in the country illegally.
The officer, who failed to show up in court, was accused of accepting the co-accused’s offer to have sex with her in order to not report her to the residency authorities. The 21-year-old Emirati policeman, S.H., is out on bail.
According to the prosecution report a Tunisian watchman spotted S.H. in his police uniform enter the building where he was working and have sex with the 26-year-old Uzbek woman, D.D., beside an emergency exit door on February 25.
"Yes, I had consensual sex with the suspect because I was very afraid of him as he is a policeman," said the Uzbek woman when she defended herself before the Dubai Court of First Instance on Sunday.
