Britain is set for the hottest weekend of the year as temperatures reach 32C, forecasters have predicted, SIA repots citing The Telegraph.
Saturday will be the hottest day of the year so far, it is believed, topping the current record by several degrees.
And while it will be slightly cooler on Sunday, the mercury will hover in the high 20s and it will be sunny and dry for most of the country.
The heatwave shows no sign of ending as temperatures settle around the mid-20s well into next week.
But the sunshine also brings dangers, and the Met Office has issued a Heat Health Alert for today and tomorrow.
"Heatwaves can be dangerous, especially for the very young, very old or those with chronic diseases," the alert said.
