Georgian Premier Bidzina Ivanishvili told media that he is ready to quit politics but only after Mikhail Saakashvili resigns.
"I will first let Saakashvili go and then quit politics", he said.
All the same, the politician noted that he is ready to continue his work: "I have announced that as long as I have strength I will be at the guard of the country. I will serve the country and stand where it is most necessary to be", Ivanishvili said.
According to the premier, he won't leave the country though he is not going to stay long in politics. "I will not quit the country and stay here as long as my country needs me. Though I am not going to leave unless Saakashvili leaves. I have told him-you will go first in October and I will follow you", Georgia.Online quotes the Georgian premier as saying.
