Several people have been killed by a suicide car bomb explosion in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar.
Officials said an explosive-laden vehicle was crashed into a checkpoint in a neighbourhood housing the United Nations refugee agency, the UNHCR, and the US-based International Relief and Development (IRD).
An Afghan policeman and three civilians were killed by the blast.
A call from the Taliban said their target was the UNHCR.
Five people, including a Nepalese guard, were wounded in the attack and taken to hospital.
