Khazar Lankaran wins cup

The final of Azerbaijani football cup between Inter and Khazar Lankaran was held at Republican stadium named after Tofig Bahramov in Baku.

The winner was not defined in the main time which ended in 0-0 while two goals were scored in added 30 minutes. Costa Rican Winston Parks led the southern team forward already in the first minute extra time to the joy of many Lankarani fans. However, Latvian Girts Carlsons restored the parity in nine minutes.

In the second extra time the fans saw no goals. 120 minutes of stiff and strained fight ended in a draw 1-1. The penalty series was decisive, where Khazar Lankaran footballers were more lucky, winning 4-2.
