With more than 550 athletes having already taken up residence in the Baku 2015 Athletes Village and another 400 due to arrive throughout Tuesday, official training sessions are getting underway for the inaugural European Games.
The Baku Aquatics Centre, Baku Sports Hall, Crystal Hall and Water Polo Arena will be the first venues to welcome athletes ahead of the start of competition in three days.
The Turkish men's Water Polo coach Ersin Ozdurak took the team's first training session on Tuesday and was realistic about his team's chances of success.
''We are in the most difficult group - Greece, Croatia, Montenegro. If we achieve victory in this group, I think the rest will be easier. But the most important thing is to advance for the next level. We don't have any expectations at the moment.''
