Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal beats his Japanese rival Nishikori to claim Madrid Open for the fourth time SIA reports quoting BBC.
World's top seeded tennis player Rafael Nadal won his fourth Madrid Open title on Sunday after his Japanese opponent Kei Nishikori was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The 27-year-old Spanish tennis player became the first player in the tournament history to be crowned Madrid Open champion for the fourth time.
He also won last year's clay-court tournament in the Spanish capital.
With this triumph, Nadal has guaranteed to secure his top seed title before next week's Rome Masters.
