The first match of the ninth group of the European football championship qualifier among girls up to 17 has been held at the Dalga Arena stadium.
The Azerbaijani team was
playing Ukraine
and lost 0-3. The goals for the opponent were scored by Tatyana Kozinenko who
excellent in the 31st minute with a penalty and in the 69th minute, as well as
Yana Malakhova (59th minute).
The match between Spain and Bosnia and Herzegovina
is to start at 14.00. Meanwhile, our team will hold its next match against Spain on 2
October.
The winners of ten groups will participate in the next round along with four
best teams among runners-up. The German and Dutch teams will join them there.
Further, 16 national teams will be divided into four groups, whose winners will
fight for awards. The current European championship is a qualifier for the 2012
world championship to be held in Baku
next autumn.
