Three matches of the last 32nd round of the Unibank Premier League of Azerbaijani championship were held yesterday.
The medalists of the championship were revealed by their results. At the republican stadium named after Tofik Bahramov, Neftchi that strongly secured its champion title was hosting the principal opponent Khazar Lankaran. The match ended in a draw 1-1. After the match, president of the Professional Football League Ramin Musayev handed the champion’s cup to Neftchi footballers. The salute was held in honor of the winners.
A bit earlier Inter beat Baki 1-0. But as it turned out, this victory did not bring the desired fourth place to Inter, which would secure their participation in the League of Europe. Now in order to get to European clubs, it will have to beat Khazar Lankaran in the final of the Cup of Azerbaijan.
