The searches for missing oilmen are underway despite the bad weather condition, SIA reports that chief engineer of SOCAR’s Azneft Production Union Balamirza Agharahimov told at briefing Dec 9.
According to Balamirza Agharahimov, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has stopped production at the emergency platform #10 of the Guneshli oil field in the Caspian Sea in order to prevent the further spread of fire.
"There are a lot of flyovers and platforms in this water area. If we get any information from them regarding the oil workers’ whereabouts, ships will be sent there".
