Ministry of Emergency Situations of Republic of Azerbaijan addressed citizens due to the hot and dry weather in the country, SIA reports.
In recent days, fires occur in grain and pasture fields, bushes and large forests as a result of hot and dry weather observed in the republic. However, investigations revealed that negligence of people is one of the main reasons for those fires,
Considering the above mentioned as well, the damage caused by the fires to our national wealth – forests, threat posed to the flora and fauna and the state budget, and most importantly, the risk to human life, the Ministry of Emergency Situations asks the people to be careful with fire, not to throw burning matches, cigarette butts, clothes and other materials absorbed by gasoline and other flammable liquids to the ground, not to make a fire in an area without taking necessary safety measures, not to leave children unattended, and the people working with agriculture equipment to strictly follow fire safety rules.
The Ministry require citizens to call the MES ’s "112" hot line in case of fire and any fire danger.
