According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s order on marking 140th anniversary of the national press of Azerbaijan, a regional conference has today held in Gabala.
SIA informs that, Deputy Chief of the Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Arastun Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Fund for the Support of Mass Media Development under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (FSMMD) , Vugar Safarli, Azerbaijani Press Council Chairman Aflatun Amashov, the chief editor of "Iki Sahil" Vugar Rahimzadeh,the chief editor of "Ses" Behruz Guliyev, the chief of "Yeni Azerbaijan" newspapers and press officials attended the conference.
At first, the conference participiants visited a monument of Azerbajani National Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at the monument.
Then, making an opening remarks the conference kicked off. Deputy Chief of the Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Arastun Mehdiyev spoke about a history of the Azerbaijani press and government’s care and attention to this field.
Then, a head of the Gabala City Executive Authorities Sebuhi Abdullayev spoke about a successfull implementation of state program of socio-economic development of regions and achievments got in Gabala as a result of the program. The head of the Gabala City Executive Authorities congratulates representatives of press on 140th anniversary of the Azerbaijai National Press.
