Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met with the delegation led by Director General of UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, SIA informs.
Mehriban Aliyeva underscored the years-long successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and UN Food and Agriculture Organization and said this visit would contribute to strengthening of the relations further. Noting that the humanitarian sphere was a priority area in the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s activity, Mehriban Aliyeva talked about the possibility of implementing joint projects. The First Lady said food safety is attached much importance in Azerbaijan and a number of programmes have been realized in this filed, and that the experience of UN Food and Agricultural Organization could be useful.
