The allocated time to the campaign of registered candidates to municipal membership ended, SIA informs.
The pre-election campaign on the municipal elections to be held on December 23, 2014 as decided by the Central Election Commission commenced on November 30 and fiat 8:00 on December 22.
The registered candidates, their attorney, authorized representatives, political parties that have registered candidate, blocs of political parties had the right to campaign.
Under the Article #8.2 of the Election Code, the Election Day is considered a non-working day within the territory where election (referendum) is held. Thus, according to this provision of the Article, December 23 will be a non-working day in Azerbaijan.
