Nazi Christmas baubles are put up for sale on online marketplace

A box of vintage Christmas baubles bearing the swastika symbol of the Nazis has sparked outrage after it appeared on one online marketplace.

The four Christmas tree decorations, described by the seller as ‘fancy’, bear the swastika – originally a Hindu and Buddhist symbol of luck but now infamous for its association with Nazi Germany.

The baubles, which appeared on Czech website Aukro, are being offered for £59 and are described as ‘original decorations used by SS units over 70 years ago’.

‘I offer Christmas decorations of SS units,’ wrote the seller.
