"The Azerbaijani government has been implemented the program for the study of our young people in prestigious foreign universities for years." SIA reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev told this on his speech at the First Global Forum on Youth Policies.
Azerbaijani President noted that Azerbaijan has implemented two state programs on youth policy and established Youth Foundation, which supports the initiatives of youth organizations and young people in the fields of education, health and others. He also stressed that that not oil and gas, but education and human capital play a key role in the development of society and state.
"Azerbaijan as well pays attention to the development of the sports" President Ilham Aliyev highlighted.
Going on of speaking of about the achievements in Olympic sports, President Ilham Aliyev told that new sports facilities are being built, and the development of sport among young people is stimulated in Azerbaijan.
"Healthy lifestyle is on the basis of success, playing as an effective role in the fight against alcoholism and other harmful habits. Azerbaijan will host the first European Olympic Games next year. It’s a historical event. About 6,000 athletes will come to Azerbaijan to participate in the games. We will also host a chess championship next year and the Islamic Solidarity Games in 2017. Azerbaijan is currently chairing the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Azerbaijan, where a large number of people live in tolerance, pays special attention to dialogue with different peoples and civilizations. Our country has held a number of inter-civilization dialogues and been successful in this area," President Aliyev said.
President ILham Aliyev also addet that Azerbaijan launching a satellite into space and ASAN Service centers beginning to serve citizens, regarding them as great success achieved by Azerbaijan.
