Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli has met with Head of the Azerbaijan Office of the American Jews Support Organization (Vaad L Hatzolas Nidchei Yisroel), Rabbi Shmuel Simantov, SIA reports.
Mubariz Gurbanli noted that religious stability in Azerbaijan’s socio-political life stands out as compared to those in other countries. All religious confessions share equal opportunities. Today, Azerbaijan is an example of tolerance in the world. Azerbaijani citizens are able to make maximum use of the opportunities provided by the Law on Freedom of Religious Belief during the meeting.
In his turn Rabbi Shmuel Simantov expressed his satisfaction with the care provided to the Jewish people and the high level of religion-state relations in Azerbaijan, noting that Jews has always enjoyed good treatment in Azerbaijan.
Head of the Azerbaijan Office of the American Jews Support Organization stresses that as a Jewish community, we are always with the Azerbaijani people and Azerbaijani state.
