The 2014 Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has got underway in Busan, the Republic of Korea, SIA reports quoting the AzerTac.
This international gathering is an important opportunity for ITU Member States to review the work of the Union and prioritize programs, improve working methods, and increase collaboration with other institutions.
Azerbaijan`s delegation at the event is led by Minister of Information and High Technologies Ali Abbasov.
The Plenipotentiary Conference is the key event at which ITU member states decide on the future role of the organization, thereby determining the organization's ability to influence and affect the development of information and communication technologies worldwide.
