A delegation of the International Federation of Journalists has visited the Azerbaijani Ombudsman’s Office, SIA reports.
They met head of the Administration of the Ombudsman`s Office Aydin Safikhanli, who provided an insight into reforms carried out by the Azerbaijani government to develop the activities of the mass media in the country. He also highlighted the government`s work to strengthen the protection of the freedom of speech in Azerbaijan.
Safikhanli also highlighted the National Action Plan on Open Government and the National Action Plan on Combating Corruption adopted by President Ilham Aliyev.
