Quinn Callander and Brayden Grozdanich, both seven years old, are inseparable. The best friends go to school and beaver scouts together.

Brayden suffers from cerebral palsy and needed surgery to help him to walk unaided. So little Quinn plumped for a tried and tested method to help his friend.

The two boys built a lemonade stand outside a grocery store in their town Maple Ridge, Canada and sold the home-made soft drink to shoppers every Sunday.

The friends captured the hearts and minds of the local community and the boys quickly enjoyed widespread support for their fundraising scheme.

Then Quinn, with the help of his mother Heather Roney, set up an online fundraising page where he posted the above heartfelt video plea.

This is where the campaign really kicked off. The page raised nearly $36,000 (£21,000) over their stated goal of $20,000 (£11,664), all of which will help pay for Brayden’s surgery and travel expenses to the specialist clinic in New Jersey.
