Hillary Clinton has said she has "moved on" from her husband’s affair with Monica Lewinsky and if she had the chance to speak to her would "wish her well", SIA reports quoting the Telegraph.
The former secretary of state and first lady, who was questioned on the sex scandal ahead of the launch of her new book, said she hopes Miss Lewinsky has had to chance to "think about her life" and finds meaning and satisfaction. She said the affair was not something she spends a lot of time thinking about and that she had dealt with it at the time.
The news of the sex scandal and the resulting investigation led to the impeachment of Mr Clinton in 1998, who was subsequently acquitted of the charges in a Senate trial.
Mrs Clinton stood by her husband throughout the scandal. However, she was reported at the time the affair was made public as saying Miss Lewinsky, who was a 22-year-old White House intern at the time of the affair in 1995, was a "narcissistic looney toon".
