On February 16-28, 2014, the officials of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources conducted the raids with the compliance of the requirements of the law of Azerbaijan Republic on "hunting", illegal hunting, prevention of illegal sale of wild birds and animals across the country.
During the raids in connection with illegal hunting and sale of products, 10 persons were arrested, 10 shotguns, 47 cartridges and 10 birds illegally seized in different regions. In accordance with facts, acts and protocols were drawn up, 9 persons were fined a total of 9000 AZN with Article of the Code of Administrative Offences in administrative order.
1 person who did not submit the necessary documents and materials seized as material evidence a shotgun for taking relevant measures have been submitted to the district police station. The officials of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources continue the raids in connection of the prevention of illegal hunting.
