FC Khazar-Lankaran have signed an 18-month contract with Brazilian fullback Willian Thiego de Jesus.
Thiego started his career as a defender, playing for his hometown club Sergipe, and catch the eye of a Gremio scout.
Thiego joined Gremio in 2006, playing for the youth team. In 2007, he was promoted to the first squad and feature in both Campeonato Gaucho and Campeonato Brasileiro in this year.
On June 14, 2008, he scored his first league goal, a powerful close-range shot, in a 3-0 away win against Goias.
