Today the second biggest resort park of Baku – the Winter Boulevard has been opened.
President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony.
The park starting from behind of the Heydar Aliyev Palace and extending to the Fizuli Square was laid at the order of the Azerbaijani president.
The park was laid on an underground parking lot for 4,500 cars. A unique natural corner has been created at the upper area of the parking.
The 35,000 square metres of the complex was landscaped.
It has nearly 2,000 trees, and over 10,000 ornamental bushes. A fountain has been built in the park.
As a result of the construction, the Shamsi Badalbayli Street was extended by 770 metres and reached the Fizuli Square.
In addition, a 212-metre area from the Samad Vurgun Street to Dilara Aliyeva Street was reconstructed.
