The Istanbul Shopping Festival has been presented in Baku, SIA reports quoting AzerTAc.
The presentation was attended by Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Istanbul Shopping Festival Vahab Kucuk, and member of the committee Huseyn Dogan, as well as Turkish embassy`s Counsellor for Cultural Affairs Seyit Ahmet Arslan and Azerbaijani cultural figures.
The event featured demonstration of a video clip on the Istanbul Shopping Festival.
Kucuk said the aim of the shopping festival, due to take place June 8-30, is to popularize the city of Istanbul over the world.
He noted that the number of Azerbaijani visitors to the event had seen a 35 percent growth.
"We started the promotion of the festival from Azerbaijan. And this is a good example of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey," he said.
Kucuk added the tourists who have a "Traveller`s card" will be able to take an advantage of discounts in hotels and restaurants during the shopping festival.
