It is expected to allow the prisoners of Azerbaijan, who are citizens of foreign countries, contact family members and relatives via Skype and other devices, the Parliament reports.
In accordance with this, additional article to the Code of Execution of Punishments and law on ensuring rights and freedoms of arrested persons, can be put up for discussion at the parliament.
According to new draft, only the prisoners, who are foreign nationals, will be able to keep in touch with friends and family members living in their countries within the statutory period and under appropriate control. These opportunities will be given to prisoners with certain limit set for each month. The prisoners will be bale to use Skype and other e-correspondences. They are given such advantages due to absence of live meeting with relatives. The draft is expected to submit to the Parliament in the near future.
Note that, the current legislation of Azerbaijan prohibits Internet connection with outside at jails.
