There was carried out investigation in order to check the condition of protected forests in Balakan Department for Forest Protection and Conservation by the employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
During the investigation in 5 forest environs of Balakan Department for Forest Protection and Conservation was discovered in total 797,23 m3 , 3606,81 manat worth of tariff of illegal logging of trees.
In addition, during the carried out inspections in recent days by the employees of the Forestry Development Department in the territory of Balakan Department for Forest Protection and Conservation was discovered the fact of in total 171,45 m3 of 690.18 manat worth of illegal tree cutting down.
Thus, during carried out investigations in the result of their failure to perform their duties, was determined the serious violations of law in the sphere of protection and conservation of forests. It should be noted that during the carried out researches there was provided the payment of 4296, 99 manat of damage.
Because of unsatisfactory forest protection and conservation, the director of Balakan Department for Forest Protection and Restoration was fired and labor contract was terminated. Other staffs who are responsible for violations of law in relation to serious disciplinary measures have been taken in accordance with law.
