The Republic of Azerbaijan celebrates Four Tuesdays - Su Charshanbna (water-Tuesday), Od Charshanba (fire-Tuesday),Torpag Charshanba (land-Tuesday) and Akhir/Yel Charshanba (final or wind-Tuesday).
Today is the second charshanba of Novruz. The universe has 4 components: water, fire, wind and earth. According to national traditions, this charshanba symbolizes purity and health. It is also called "Second Charshanba" or "Usku Charshanba" among people.
It is necessary to make bonfires this charshanba. According to folk beliefs, in order to get rid of all their troubles and illness, people should jump over the bonfire. Ashes of the bonfire are gathered and thrown away. We wish you solidarity which is a symbol of fire.
