I think everyone, no matter how far he is from the world of cinema, has at least once seen charming Milla Jovovich scattering hundreds of zombies in pursuit of a mysterious corporation, which has infected the whole world with a fatal T-virus.
This pursuit, which is going on for more than 10 years now has not yet come to an end, but succeeded in bringing a worldwide fame to the lead character, and millions at the box office to its creators.
When back in 2002 movie director Paul W.S. Anderson wrote a scenario for adaptation of the cult video game "Resident Evil", he couldn’t even imagine that this idea will make him famous all over the world.
It should be noted that Paul Anderson already had an experience of filming this kind of movies, and fans of fantasy genre certainly remember his first work "Mortal Kombat".
After launching the first part of the hit, Anderson engaged in writing scenarios for and producing a sequel and trequel of the movie, and at the same time filmed some rather successful projects, such as "AVP: Alien vs. Predator" (2004) and "Death Race" (2008).
Only after 8 years Paul Anderson returned to directing the most successful project of his career, and filmed fourth and fifth parts of the franchise.
After release of the fifth part of the Movie "Resident Evil 5: Retribution", it was reported that Paul W.S. Anderson starts working on a new movie and even plans to visit Baku. However, details and real cause of the visit remain unknown.
Nevertheless, considering the filming range of a movie project and day by day popularization of our capital city, we would love to believe that the next scenes of battles with zombies will be filmed in Baku, and we along with the whole world will be able to see familiar avenues and streets of our city on the big screen.
