The length of the underground tunnel, to be built along the National Seashore Park (Boulevard) will be 4.2 kilometers.
This was announced at the second public hearing on "Regional Development of Great Baku", which introduced the concept of the boulevard until 2050.
Under the plan, the tunnel will consist of underground and above-ground parts. The above-ground tunnel length is 1 kilometer.
Highways within the tunnel will be a six-lane (three sides in each direction). The above-ground portion of the tunnel is considered to be U-shaped. The tunnel is in the form of squares and arches. The length of the square of the tunnel will be 2.3 km.
The tunnel will have two outputs for Neftchilar avenue. As part of the plan, reconstruction work in the 0.7 km and preservation of territory of the Baku Boulevard with length 3.7 km will be carried out.
