New information service launched
A single "118" helpline was launched in Azerbaijan on Tuesday, bringing together multiple services.

The helpline operates in three languages - Azerbaijani, Russian and English - and covers the whole of the country.

In Baku, a teaser "Soruşmaq ayıb olmasın?!" (Dare I ask?) has caught public attention with its bright colours and use of an everyday expression and got social networks buzzing. The answer to the question is the short number "118", which provides information to anyone anywhere in Azerbaijan.

The "118" helpline can be called just by dialling the three digits - 118 - directly from fixed and mobile phones.

The service, which costs 0.42 qapik per minute, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

At present, it offers information on tourism, road repairs, roadside assistance and the "sober driver" service.

The helpline is broadening its portfolio of information on offer.
