From 1 January 2012, retirement age for women in Azerbaijan will be 58.5, men – 63.
The statement came from chairman of the State Social Protection Fund,
Salim Muslumov during his interview to New Azerbaijan Party’s website.
According to Muslumov, main changed in the Azerbaijani pension and insurance system is planned to realize next year.
Note that, in 2011, the retirement age for women was 57.5, for men – 62.5.
The retirement age for women will gradually increase and reach 60 in 2016.
